Hi Everyone,
I have just received some information from a lady in Ontario who has been to France and has friends there that have seen Gabriels' birth certificate, he was born in St. Martin, Chateau du Loir, France in 1644 (not St. Guingalois). The document cannot be copied or photographed because of it's age. They have also tracked down the Berard family in the 9th century in Carcassone, France (in the south). They owned a turret, one of few in the town. We are working to uncover more information on this. I will be writing to the tourist/archive department in Carcassone to find out more information.
