I can tell you exactly where they settled and hopefully a lot more. They were among the first settlers in Germantown, California. the town changed it's name to Artois, I'm not sure of the date.
Claus Peter BERENS and Anna Elisabeth nee MOELK are my husband's great-great-great grandparents. I am so excited because there is no family record of when they came to America or where from.
