Willaim Bergin is my great grandfather. Yes he came over from Ireland to see Dennis. Dennis fought for the Union in the Civil War. My dad has an old picture of him in uniform. Dennis was dead before he made it though. Willaim had children, many had died at a young age and is buried around him by Highway 24 in between Lawrence, and Topeka Kansas. The cemetery is called either Rose Hill or Mount Calvery.
When it came to Willaims children, Anne, John, and Vic stick out. Anne died at an early age from eating easter eggs.(when the die for them use to be fatal) I don't know much about John. He has the same name as me though, John Patrick Bergin. He died in 1975. Victor was the other name. Victor Micheal Bergin Sr. died in the early 90's. He was my grandpa. He died of respitory problems, or something like that. (I was around 5 at the time) Victor Micheal Bergin Jr. is my dad. He could probably tell me more about it than I can. You could email my dad at [email protected] or margret his sister at [email protected]. She should know a lot too. I am currently living near Meriden Kansas which is in the Topeka area.
