My father was Anibal Betancourt and he and my mother Ramona Quevedo lived together for close to thirty years and had Cilda, Anibal Jr and Norma(twins),Carlos and Noemi. He also adopted my sister Elsa. I never met either grandparent, but I did meet Rafael, who worked in Washington DC in some short of goverment position. I believe there was another daughter(my aunt)named Mora. My grandmother's name as listed on my dad's birth certificarte is Pomar, not Romar. My father died in NYC in July, 1978. I was told that my grandfather was from Spain-I do not know exactly where. I recently went to Mayaguez and the house is still there. My sister Cilda lives nearby.
