This is my first time on Betancourt Family Genealogy Forum, and I found it quite interesting. Here is my angle:
My grandmother's sister, Sylvia Riveron Guerra, a Cuban living in Camagueys, married an Alberto Betancourt, and lived near Jatibonico, Camaguey for most of her life. She was a one room school teacher, and with Alberto Betancourt had two children; Jose Alberto and Haydee. Jose alberto Betancourt was married and had two children; Jose(Pepe) and Angela. Both, I believe still live in Cuba.
Sylvia's and my grandmother's mother was America Guerra, also the name of my 92 year old aunt.
We may not be related, but some of the coincidences, the name America, Camaguey, Sylvia, etc, are remarkable.
