Dear Stephen,
Was just out back in the church cemetery today after Mass and I thought I should write down the Betancourt inscription on the marble stones but I didn't. I can't really remember Mr. Betancourt's first name but he was born in 17?? in Puerto Principe, Cuba and died in Philadelphia in ????. The stone is in St. Joachim cemetery where I am a member. St. Joachim didn't exist until 1845. Hmmmmm. I have to investigate this one. I'll drop by there on my way home tomorrow AM. There aren't any cemetery records - lost in the 1979 fire that was started in the Sacristy.
Stay tuned. Here we go again! There seems to be some kind of definite Philly connection with your family.
I just looked at the email you sent me.
