Here is something interesting I have found regarding Margaret Couch. In the 1840 Census Joseph Ellison is located next to Eli Couch and still married. We know that by looking at the marriage records in Tennessee that Joseph Ellison married a Margaret Couch. If this Margaret couch was in fact the daughter of Eli then it would be nearly impossible almost for this to be the same Margaret couch who married Charles Homer Bethany. I know my ggg grandmother was a couch, but not from which line. This has been confirmed by my cousins from the James H. Bethany line and by my 93 year old cousin Pauline who had grown up around a few of Levi Couch's children. I think it would be worth someones money to buy William Allen Williams death certificate. As if they documented one it is available as he passed during the time they were filing them in Davidson area of Tennessee. I am in the process of ordering a few of the other kids death certificates to try and shed some light on this myself. I guarantee I will post these certs on here for you all to look at if they contain something valuable.
