My maiden name is Betton and my earliest decendant was Thomas Betton who died in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, USA, in 1749.
The son of Thomas, Turbutt Betton, married in Maryland circa 1730. I am a direct descendant of one of his sons.
A Betton was listed as being in Delaware, U.S.A. in 1685 and Samwell Betton, listed as a gentleman, was in Jamestown, Va. U.S.A. in 1620.
My married name is Waite
