From "The Semi-Weekly Farm News" newspaper printed Dallas, TX Jan 5, 1932 p. 1

"QUARTET SEEKS BOND IN $600 BANK BURGLARY Lipscomb, Texas Jan 4 (UP)

Velma Betty, 17 years old; Bob Betty, her husband; Billy Culwell and George Brown, all arrested in connection with the recent $600 burglary of a bank at Booker today, sought their release here on bond.

Culwell is the son of an Amarillo [TX] lawyer and formerly was assistant County Attorney.

Part of the money was recovered in three Amarillo stores following a fingerprint investigation. The men are charged with burglary and the girl is help as an accomplice."

I have no further information. I hope this helps someone searching family members. SR
