Betty, Fisher, Hallett - Somerset, Dorset, London

Hi all,

reading through this forum I've found a number of links to my ancestors, but I'm a little unsure as to how they come together, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help clear up my confusion!

My gg grandfather was Samuel Hallett Fisher d. 1932 Sydney NSW, whose parents I believe were Peter Betty Fisher and Jane Elizabeth Hallett. Peter was born in Stoke St Gregory, Somerset in about 1821. Jane was born in Seatown, Dorset.

From the Stoke baptism records comes:

13th May 1824 Peter Betty Fisher son of Richard and Sarah Betty Fisher - Stoke St Gregory - Butcher.

But my confusion is with Peter's parents. Other researchers on this forum had them listed as Richard Betty and Sarah Fisher, Richard Fisher, Richard Fisher-Betty and Richard Betty-Fisher. Which one(s) are correct?

Cheers,
John Patten
