Looking for the family of Charlie Mitchell Betty . He was my g grandfather. He lived in Dyer county Tennessee around Booth's point in the 1920 census. Booth's point is a cape on the river there where the barges loaded or unloaded grain. He may have worked in something like that or Maybe logging. He was married to Jeanette (nettie) cudd. His mother in law was nancy cudd who died and was buried in 1917 in Dyer county.
He was in the Gibson/madison county area again by 1930 .His mother's name was Mary and she marrie Wm King in Gibson tn at some point . She was his second wife and that is all the info I have on her.
According to family His father died when he was very young , possibly in a logging accident. We have also always heard that his family came here from Texas. I have hit a stonewall when it comes to him and would appreciate any info or any leads that might help me . Charley was born around 1888 so if family info is correct , his father died around 1990- 1910 . Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.. Wayne Chamberlain
