Pamela...I am a Landreth researcher and have record but do not show the parents of Daniel Bevel: Here is what I show:

FRANCES LANDRETH b. VA 2 MAR 1819 d. 11 FEB 1904 in Alto Pass, Union Co IL m. in Union Co IL 18 MAY 1836 DANIEL BEVEL b. TN 4 OCT 1813 d. 17 JAN 1889 in Anna, Union Co IL. Both buried at Alto Pass IL in Walnut Grove Cem.

Here is what I show on Daniel Marion Bevel

DANIEL MARION BEVEL b. Union Co IL 18 JAN 1843. Enlisted in Army 14 NOV 1861. Served as Private in Co A. 54th IL Volunteer Infantry. He died at age 20 at Duvalls Bluff,AR (Arkansas) of typhoid fever 3 SEP 1863. His mother, Francis Landreth Bevil, drew a pension of $12 per month after her husband, Daniel Bevel, Sr., died.

This may not help any but you may glean a date, place, etc that may help to know where or when to search.

Best wishes.......Eugene Landreth
