Charles, I am researching the Ragsdale families of the Lincoln/Bedford/Marshall and Coffee/Giles areas of Middle TN. I have found that there was some connection between a Ragsdale family and a Bevel family somewhere. It could be something like a Bevel child taking the surname of Ragsdale or a Ragsdale child taking the Bevel name.
Have you, or anybody posting on this board, heard of any thing of this sort? It would certainly answer some questions for a lot of people if you have this info.
