Perhaps this is the family that was shown as administrators of Estate of T.M. COX in Murray Co., GA:

Henry Randolph BEVEL 1847-1925 married Jane Atheline COX 1857-1913. Henry was born in Spring Place, Murray Co., GA but died in TX.

Henry BEVEL had brother, George BEVEL who married my Mama's great aunt, America ROBERTS, of Ducktown, Polk Co., TN. George and America are living in MacDonald, Murray Co., GA in 1880 while Henry was living in Mountaintown, Gilmer Co., GA...both places not far from each other.

Henry and George BEVEL were living 1850-1860-1870 in Gilmer Co., GA and their mother Mary is still alive in 1870. Father's name not yet known as he died or was out of the picture before 1850 census. This give rise to the possibility that George BEVEL was not really a BEVEL.

Mary BEVEL is enumerated in 1860 as Mary SWETT with George age 7 living with her, several other folks rooming in her household. Next door is Henry BEVEL. Yet, by 1870 census she is back being enumerated as Mary BEVEL. It is assumed that she died 1871-1880 at this point in my research.

Other BEVEL siblings were James b. 1840 and William b. 1837 both of whom were born in AL or Alabama. There is 7 years difference between ages of James and William born in AL and Henry & George born in Georgia. This makes me suspect that Mary may only be mother to Henry and George and a 2nd wife.
