Have traced this man, my great-grandfather,from Glasgow, Scotland to Canada. His father was David BICKERTON of Kinross, Scotland and his mother Grace BLAIR, I believe from Glasgow. David and Grace had 5 other children, born in Glasgow and Dunbarton, Scotland. They are:
1. David Taylor BICKERTON born 1860
2. Mary Cameron BICKERTON born 1855
3. Andrew Brand BICKERTON born 1863
4. Grace Blair BICKERTON born 1858
5. Christina Taylor BICKERTON born 1856.
Once my great-grandfather had is own family, he named his children after his siblings (and then some, he had 11 children)
