Thanks Ron

It all sounds very promising but I am unsure how to check this back as my Samuel is as far back as I have managed to trace so far. I am new to this so would appreciate any pointers that you can give me. I am interested because my father John Ernest Bickerton was an only child but he had many cousins and he would like to trace some of their decendents and them if they are still alive but his memory is not as sharp as it could be and he gets muddled about names. I am just facinated by the whole thing and find it amazing that we can trace people who lived so long ago who have helped to make us as we are today.

Many thanks
Chris
