My Grandma was a Biga, she lived in Venice (Italy) and she was a lawyer, her father was a lawyer too in Venice, but he was born in Potenza (Basilicata, South of Italy, veri near to Bari).
Since Biga has a meaning in italian I always thought I had an Italian origin but, reading your mails, I am not so sure anymore...

Maybe my familiy has nothing to do with yours, anyway can anybody tell me if he knows about some Biga moving from Balcans to the other side of the adriatic sea?

Ps: Plivice is a wonderful place, I was there this summer!
