Jerry, I am related to Susan Bigby that married F. Henry Walls. Susan Jane Walls, their daughter, married John Carrol Payne in 1811. Their son, Benjamin Franklin Payne married Jane Kilpatrick. Ben and Jane's daughter, Josephine Augusta, married William Cantrell. William and Josephine had a daughter named Nancy Ann Cantrell that married Homer H. Goodwin. Nancy and Homer's daughter, Alma Marie Goodwin is my mother. I have been looking for the mother of Susan Bigby. So far I have found nothing. I thought I found a source that gave me a name. On some web sites I found a note that said in the book, "Our Hill Country HeritageII" by Paul J. Long, it said her mother was Polly Bigby. Polly is a nickname for Mary. I found a copy of this book at the Oak Ridge library. I could not find where it gave the name of Susan's mother. It gave Susan's name as Suse(Susan) Powhatan(Watters). It said she was Cherokee. It did not mention the name Bigby. Paul J. Long lives in Friendville, Tennessee in Blount county. I live in Blount county. I called Mr. Long a couple years ago and he said he got this info from a lady that lived in Etowah, Tn. but she had died since then. If you have any info for Susan's mother I would be greatly indebted to you. Thanks! Ronnie Sellers
