Carol, I am related to the Bigbys. My mother is Alma Marie Goodwin, her mother was Nancy Ann Goodwin nee Cantrell, her mother was Josephine Augusta Cantrell nee Payne, her father was Benjamin Franklin Payne, his mother was Susan Jane Payne nee Walls, her mother was Susan Walls nee Bigby. Susan married F. Henry Walls. Thier daughter, Susan Jane married John Carrol Payne in Habersham co. Ga. in 1811. Susan Bigby was said to be Cherokee by a woman that lived in Etowah, Tn. that is in McMinn county. Do you have any info on the brothers and sisters of James Bigby that married Catherine Foreman? I know he had a half brother and sister. Thanks for any help. Ronnie Sellers
