I am trying to obtain more biographical information on the above man. Company I was recruiited mainly from Fayette County, Alabama. I have his file from the National Archives and this all there is:

A. B. Bigby
Admitted to Hospital #9 in Richmond for Rubeola on February 25, 1864 and he died on February 28.

Was he ever wounded in battle? When and where was he born? What does his initials mean? Any help would be appreciated.
