Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Let me add one additional note on this family. One of Margaret's sons, James Calhoun, was sent to live with the Thomas Cox family when Margaret either died or could no longer take care of her children. I know that Permelia, her sister, also took in Margaret's other son, Benjamin Newton, who was my g grandfather. I am trying to find who took the other four children. I know what happened to her daughters, Ola and Lydia, in their adult life, but I have yet to find her two older daughters, Adaline and F C. On the 1860 census the older daughter is Adaline, 3 years old. The other daughter on the 1870 census is 7 years old, and her name is only given as initials, F C. I am guessing the name is Frances or Fannie since this seems to be a Robinson tradition. On the 1870 census, Adaline is listed as A A. I believe the children were probably scattered among Margaret's relatives. She had a large family.
