Wado Jerry. You always have such interesting bits of information. The records of where the Cherokee families lived in the Cleveland area and the white families who took ownership in 1838 would be interesting to see. I know of the cabin restored by Mrs. Neil (a Mayfield descendant), where Hair Conrad and Ollie Candy lived, but would also like to know about the other Cherokee families who lived in the area of now Cleveland, TN, where their homes were located and how the land was reallocated to white settlers. I believe most of the Cherokee families from that area went west at the time of removal with either the Jesse Bushyhead Detachment or another one, I have forgotten the other detachment, was it Wofford? I believe most of the Cherokee people of that area were Nani/Nancy Ward descendants.
