You're welcome, Lois. I think your Jane or Joan Bigge would predate my John with wife Joane or Johannah by a generation or so.

My John and his wife Joane/Johannah did have a daughter named Johannah, but she married in Virginia and not England. She married 1) Edward Hassell and 2) Matthew Caswell.

Good luck with your search. Maybe as more records come online in digitalized form, and as archives in the British Isles make more of these accessible online, we'll find the clues we're seeking.
