Robert can be found in the Dakota Territroy 1880 Census Grand Forks County with his wife Jennie and two sons, Willis age 9, b. Aug 1873 and Chester, age 4, b.abt 1875. They also had a son named Prince b.1884.Robert moved to Dakota Territory with his brother Hugh Biggerstaff who then eventually moved to Washington State.Jennie filed for Robert's Civil War Pensionin March 1890.So he would have died between 1884 and 1890. He served in the Civil War andis listed as a private, 7MN Infantry, Company L.I believe he died in some kind of accident . His occupation in the 1880 census was "Teamster".Family records sayhe died in a construction accident but I do not have any proof of this. In his mother's obituary for Jennett Biggerstaff of Aug 15 1895 Sherburne County Star News it listed that Robert was the only child of her 14 children that had preceded her in death.
