I am researcing the BILL family of farmers from New London County, CT. who went to Nova Scotia in 1760--namely, Mary BILL, wife of Joshua EELLS. She was the daughter of James BILL & Mary SWODEL. Mary BILL was born 2 JUL 1721 in Hebron, Tolland, CT. and died 25 JAN 1797 in Cornwallis, Kings County, NS--apparently the same day as her husband. Joshua became a Loyalist, and changed their surname from EELLS to ELLS in 1770. I have very little info on the BILLS, other than for my line--7 generations back from Mary--the given names & some birth years of the men only. They originated in or around London, England. I will share what I have, and would appreciate added info on Mary BILL, James BILL & Mary SWODEL.
