Oops! I forgot to include this in my note. Somewhere I read of a marriage between a Naomi Smith and an Elisha Bill on the Methodist circuit in Nova Scotia, somewhere in the 1830's. I can't remember where, and my genealogical notes and information is, for the most part still in Canads, whereas I am living in Kuwait at the present time. This gets to be very frustrating, as anyone can imagine. However, I do remember this note, and would be interested if anyone else has information. Naomi must have died fairly soon, because Elisha shows up in New Brunswick on the 1851 Census with another wife, but also with a teenage son - Benomi or Behajah Bill.
