No, at the time 13 certainly was NOT too young to be a wife and mother! My own great grandmother married at age 12 and had her first child by 13. No question, not a glitch in birthdates. It is how it was. Most of us have family who would today be prosecuted for pedophilia. Childhood used to end a lot sooner than it does now.
