I too am trying to link Ezekiel Billington to the Mayflower passenger John Billington. I located a website When I entered my Grandfather's name Robert Love Billington, it made the link to John Billington (1580-1630) in Plymouth very fast. There was so much information. Unfortunately, I don't know how to prove the info. The website states that Ezekiel born March 22 1759 in Newark, Essex, New Jersey (Son of Nathaniel Billington) and his son James moved to Tennessee some time after James married Sarah "Sally" E. Walker in Johnston Co. North Carolina in Sept. 2, 1815.... I am hoping to find more info. in Tenn. Do you have any ideas of where to look? At that time, what documents would Ezekiel have been required to list his father's name?

The website also lists two sources for this info. that I am trying to investigate right now...

1. Brderbund Software, Inc.
2. Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT 84150
(Ancestral File (R) Author: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Melissa (Billington) Simms
