Start in Ireland with Sir William Billington. name was changed during dissolution of Irish Church from Bilyton to Billington.Most of the Irish records were destroyed in a fire so you will need to probably start in places like Lancashire and Cheshire in England. Many of the Billington family came from the Rhine valley in Germany and if one researches the Hall of Names in London or in East Germany
you may have a point to start at. The Billington name is mentioned in the domesdsay book or doomsday book made up by Wlliam the Conqueror.
