Jonathan: I am new to genealogy and think I am a descendent of John Billington. Another source is the book "Saints and Strangers" published in 1945 by George Willison. In that book it says: John Billington 190-1630--of London: Tied up by neck and heels for cursing Standish when called to perform military duty, 1622; mixed up in Lyford-Oldham "mutiny," 1624; Purchaser 1616; hanged for murder, 1630." also has info on Marriage to Ellen ____ and sons: Frances (1612) and John (1614-1628).
