Forget the MayFlower, Elmira Horicon NY Billington 1800

I have been searching for the parents of Edward G Billington.
I know from Census that he was born in New York about 1802.
I found him in 1850 in Elmira, NY. With Wife Charlotte and Children: Mary Augusta, Georgianna, James, Charlotte,Caroline and Almira.
Next I found him in 1860 in Horicon, New York, with wife Charlotte, and daughters Georgianna, Charlotte G, and Almira.
As of yet I have not be able to find any records of him before or after these Census. I am related to Mary Augusta, she married Moses Allen Cole.
I would love to discover a Mayflower Connection, but really I am just trying to get past Edward, I have been puzzling this one out for almost a year now. Any Help Appreciated!
