Hi
I have lots of information on the Billyards/Billialds of the East Markham areas in Nottinghamshire.I actually spend a lot of time in the area as my mother still lives there.I have spent a lot of time in the local library and looking at original records.Subsequently, I come across so much information that is not correct on these forums. I can say that all my information comes from original sources, otherwise I have learnt not to trust it.I have made the link between the Billyards of East Markham areas and those to several areas in the USA.My next aim is to make the link between those in Austrailia and those from Nottinghamshire. But it takes so long, and life has a habit of taking over.....
My relation to the Billyard line is my great grandmother was Annies Elizabeth Billyard.I have a photo of her on my living room wall, she was a tiny woman and is sttod outside the hen house with basket of eggs she has just collected. She was born 1884 and died 1964.Apparently, I met her many times as a baby, but of course can't remember her at all.
Her father was John Billyard b. 1853 markham moor, nr retford.Nottinghamshire.Died 1942.
Let me know if there is anything I can help with. I'll try my best.
sharon
