According to the Binford family genealogy Ruby S. Binford, born 1903, sister of Marrietta and Beulah (who was born and died the same year, 1898), was the daughter of Benjamin Oliver Binford and Julia Ann Pickering. Benjamin was the son of Oliver Binford and Mary Faulk Harris. Oliver's father was another Benjamin Binford, who married Mary Cook. This Benjamin's father was Aquila, who married Mary Ladd. Aquila's father was Peter, mother was Rebecca. Peter's father was James, son of Anthony. I have heard some discussion of the possibility that Mary Bruner, the author of the genealogy, was in error about Anthony, and I agree that the naming pattern of the descendents doesn't fit, nor does the other info we have - what little there is. As to Carthage - my Binfords also came from Carthage, and probably there is a lot of information about them all in the records at Earlham College.
