Hi Wanda,

Sorry, I didn't get notification that you had responded. I moved in Dec and just now getting back to Geneology.

You wouldn't by any chance have a picture of Anna Binford Winslow would you?

I have several Binfords and will eventually compile what I have to hopefully honor them. Micajah & Sarah Patterson Binford's great grandson was my children's great grandfather...The Binford's are quiet, humble, have great strength of character and conviction, unassuming but so gentle and kind. It was my privilege to know my children's great grandfather and mother so well (Binford/Elliott). I started researching Binford's in depth last year. I had
hoped that the "Art" Binford "recreated" genealogy would be published by now but...I dont hear anymore about someone working on it....So, someday after I get the genealogy done that I have been working on for 30 years, I will go back and try to complete this one.

Did you know that several of this line were Quaker ministers...Micajah Crew Binford son of Michajah & Sarah, and Jared P Binford s/o Wm & Mary Jessop Binford.
Also, Anna Binford Winslow was cousin to Josiah Binford who was married to a recorded minister---Margaret Fell Hill Binford.

I could go on but rather would like to confirm your information.

Was Henry's house part of the underground railroad? do you have any family stories about him? Were there any stories in the family about coming North into IN from NC because of the Civil War and their sons would/were drafted? I note that Micajah died in 1865...just after? they made the trip to IN. Any info about that?

Anna honored her father by naming her first son/child as Micajah Binford Winslow 1834-1875. Is he buried in IA? Where? What about his wife Elizabeth Dillon? and did they have children?

Levi Winslow b 7/7/1836 IN? d. 1922? where? He married Emily Henley. Do you know her parents? Did they have children?

Emily Winslow b. 12/30/1838? where NC? d. 9/30/1881? IN?
M. 9/25/1856? NC?/IN? to Barclay Hockett. He died in 1915? where? children?

Jonathan Winslow b 8/16/1841?p? d. 11/17/1917? where? M to
Sarah Baldwin. She was living in 1920's in Tonganoxie, KS.
Did they have children? When/where did she die?

Ruth Winslow b 5/20/1844? where? d. 2/21/1873 She married contrary to discipline to Enos B. Hill. Did she condemn her actions and come back within the meeting? Children?

Sarah Winslow died young.

Joseph Winslow b. 9/13/1849? where? d. 12/2/1919? where?
M. 1870 to Sarah Pruitt. Ch?

Josiah Winslow 9/13/1849? In? d. ? M. Mary Pruitt
1872? She died 1876 where? Ch? Note that this son of Anna was named Josiah...maybe after her cousin Josiah which would have been my children's 2nd great grandfather.

William 1852-1877.

Mary Winslow 10/13/1857? where d. 12/7/1889? where? children? M. James Baker 1855-1898 Ch?

If you could help with this, I would be so greatful.

Helen
