I am also a cousin to the Binfords of Grimes Co. My ggrandfather was Wyatt Harper Binford, s/o Benjamin Ingram Binford and Mittie Harper. Wyatt was also a sheriff, but of Grimes Co., Tx. during 1928-1931. I also have copied information on T. Binford and the years he was sheriff of Harris Co. The pictures did not come out clear but the text is perfectly good for reading. If anyone would like a copy contact me via email. And I think a web site would be wonderful.
This is a folk song that was made up about "T." Binford.
"If you're ever in Houston,
You better walk right!
You better not gamble,
You better not fight."
