Not my line, but solid info:
Lucy Mann Nelson, will dtd 6 May 1852, "I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Mary Lee my Diamand ring; I give and bequeath to my son in law John R. Lee, fifty dollars for the benefit of the Protestant Episcopal Church to be applied at his discretion to any Church purpose. I direct that my executor hereinafter named shall pay to my sister in law, Julia Page, five dollars annually during the natural life of my mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Page of Glouchester County, Virginia [Mann Page is listed on 1840 census of Gloucester].
I direct that all the residue of my estate be divided into five equal portions, and I give and bequeath an equal portion thereof to my son in law John R. Lee, an equal portion to my daughter, Judith Carter Nelson, an equal portion to my son, Hugh Nelson, an equal portion to my son in law Walter L. Binford, and one equal portion to my son Hugh Nelson and my son in law John R. Lee to be held by them in trust for my daughter, Tharnasia P. Nelson and to be used and applied by them for her benifit in such manner as they shall think most beneficial to her. And I direct that nothing which I may heretofore have given to any of my children or sons in law shall be taken into account in the division aforesaid. Believing that I have money enough to pay all my debts and the picunary legacies aforesaid, I direct that there be no inventory, appraisement, or sale of any portion of my estate. I constitute and appoint my son, Hugh Nelson, executor of this my will and I direct that no security shall be required on his qualification as such executor.
