LOUISA JANE FEAR was born at Mark Summerset shire, England, August l6, l844, and died at the home of her daughter, MRS. FRANK BINNING, on Sunday, February l0, l924, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 24 days old. She spent her girlhood in England until March l6, l869, when she was married to GEORGE REDMAN and two weeks later came to America and settled on a farm near Dyersville, Iowa, lived there three years then moved to Decatur County where she has lived since. To this union five children were born, one son, BILLY, dying in infancy. The others, MRS. CORA VIOLA BINNING, GEORGE CASSET, JOHN BURTRUNE, BENJ. FRANKLIN were all with her at the time of her death. She also leaves one step-daughter, MRS. ROSE LEFFLER, of Leon, Iowa, two step-sons, WALTER REDMAN, of Grand River, Iowa and FRED REDMAN, of Chicago, Ill., also 27 grandchildren.

On February l2, l887, MR. REDMAN died at Iowa City following an operation, five years later, she was married to MR. ANTHONY COX, of Rolfe, Iowa. They continued to live on her farm for several years and in March, l897, they moved to Leon and on October 3l, l9l3, MR. COX died. The summer of l9l4, she spent at her old home in England, the first and only visit she had made there since she left in l869.

When a girl, she was baptized in the Church of England and later united with the Presbyterian Church in Leon. She had spent the last year and a half with her daughter MRS. CORA BINNING on her old home place. MRS. REDMAN/COX passed away just 37 years after her first husband.

Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, MRS. FRANK BINNING, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Walls of Van Wert. Interment at Decatur Cemetery by the side of her first husband, GEORGE REDMAN.
