Hi I am researching my family history and have discovered that 2 members of my family worked at Ribbleton Hall, definately in the 1870's.

He was called James Beaton and was one of the gardeners and she was called Jane Sutherland and worked in service at the house. I know Jane left the Hall in 1874 because the owners presented her with a book of poetry when she left.

I know the Hall is now demolished. I am rapidly running out of clues now about the Hall, its history and the people who lived and worked there.

I know it is a while since you posted your message on this forum, but I wondered if you manged to find out any more information??

I'd be grateful for any news.

With thanks in anticipation.
Diane.
