Hello All, I am trying to find out the details for a Mr and Mrs Birkett who were close family friends of the the Kennedy family of Cumberland around 1829. The Kennedys lived first in Rugby and then later at Crosby Lodge in Cumberland. I think Mrs kennedy (Eliza/Elizabeth) and Mrs Birkett were good friends or connected in some way. When the Kennedy's daughter Georgiana married Captain John Molloy of the Rifle Brigade she moved with him to Western Australia and wrote letters with great affection to Mrs Birkett or 'Birky' as she called her. Does anyone know who these Birketts were, where they lived and how they were connected with the Kennedys? Many thanks.
