Hi Leslee
My grandfather has passed away and my grandmother is 94 years old now, living in the UK, and her memory is not that good. However, about 8 years ago I asked her to write to me (in New Zealand) with any information she could provide on my family tree. She did give me a lot of information and basically it goes like this:
Alexander Birkett born 1860, married ellen (formerly Davies) in 1881. Alexander had a son named William Henry Birkett (who married Rachael Yates in 1908) and had 2 children JOseph Birkett (my grandfather)born 1914 and Ellen Birkett born 1909.
I think you might be right about us not having any connection, as such, but I thought I'd reply and pass on the information that I do have so far.
