We may be related, Simon. My father Philip Walter Birkett (d.1945) was county architect of Lindsey (part of Lincolnshire) and I seem to recall a county solicitor in the mix somewhere. His brother was Harry Birkett who ran an International Harvester dealership in Westgate, Lincoln.

Regards, Peter Birkett.
