Hi
Mine and Ian Birkett's ancestor was Richard Dolby Birkett b.1812(he moved to Sheffield and became a Victualler in Castle Folds) in Hough-on-the-Hill, Lincs., son of John Birkett, a shoemaker who was chr. 13th Jan., 1788 in Long Bennington, son of Thomas Birkett + Margaret Bailey. Thomas was possibly chr. 1749 in Hawton, Notts., son of Joseph Birkett + Eleanor Frost. Does anyone have any idea how Joseph fits in with the other families around Newark?
