I have never heard the name Martha Bisanar, but my Grandmother was a Bisanar from Gastonia, NC. Her father was John Asbury Bisanar and mother was Mary Sigmon. John Bisanar was an electrician and owned Bisanar Electric. I believe its called John Bisanar, inc now. John and Mary had 2 children, Richard Bisanar and Rachel Bisanar. Richard now lives in Lincoln County, NC on the farm where John grew up. I know this probably does not help much, but my Grandmother has traced the Bisanar family back to the 1700's. If you would be interested in picking her brain, I know she would love to compare notes, as this has been a hobby of hers for quite some time. If so, you can contact me at ofcjduty@yahoo.com or by phone at 859-227-0335.
