ok, lets try this, am hitting a brick wall with York Co.Did Christopher Bishir have a will? This is such an odd surname, we must be related. An interesting coincidence:Jeremiah Bishir was also a cooper by trade. This is just too much of a coincidence.Jeremiah was born (supposedly... no proof here) 13 Jun 1800 in York Co.What I am wondering is how much territory did york co. cover at that time (maybe another co was formed from York at a later date?)I know that Westmoreland was formed from Bedford Co. in the late 1700's or very early 1800's.Do you have a religion for your branch? That might help me find church records that would have baptisms, etc.
Could my Jeremiah be a brother to Jonathan, Jacob and the 2nd Christopher? The dates are sooo close.Jonathan b. 1811, Jacob b. 1797, Christopher, b. 1805.My Jeremiah, b. 1800.It fits....what we need is a will/obituary, anything like that. Deeds.I am in Harrisburg, PA and it is hard for me to travel.(I have a 2 year old) and do research.I do not have the funds to pay a researcher to do things for me.If wishes were horses then beggers would ride, I would hve the 1890 census, and would have this line researched fully.oh well.I would like to work with someone from Highland Co who could help with this.Anyone available?
