Thank you Susan, for your time & effort. For some reason I hadn't checked out FamilySearch for this query.
You have helped me undo an incorrect assumption that I had made - that Tryphaena was the daughter of Valentine & Phoebe Bishton. I can now see that her parents were indeed Thomas & Ann.
However, in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, Thomas gives his pob as Worfield (where he was living) and not Donnington. So I am not so sure that the third record you indicated is a certainty - do you have any other information to corroborate this?
Certainly, I have have found only one Thomas born around 1785 - the son of John & Betty - but I have also failed to find any reference to Valentine's birth or baptism either. Thomas and Valentine (in '51&'61) both claim to have been born in Worfield and lived close to each other (two doors away when they were both Almsmen in 61). I think that I've more digging to do.
