Hi Lisa,

While researching my Family History I have discovered a BLABER family who had 10 children and for some reason let my ancester adopt one!

They are George Alfred BLABER and Susan Ruth TYDEMAN who married in 1897. Their children are: Arthur (1893), Dorothy (1896) [both born as TYDEMAN as it was before the marriage], Violet (1898), Charlotte (1899), Margaret (1901), John (1910), Georgina (1913), Doris (1915), Frederick (1918) and at least 1 more child who was born before 1911.

Margaret was "taken in" by Sarah MEAD (my ancester) who married George HOWLETT in 1902. They all lived in Hampstead where Sarah use to board with the BLABERs. At the time Margaret was the youngest child, but the BLABERs went on to have many more and Sarah and George became her GODPARENTs.

Have you come across this family in your research?
