Wythe Co, Va Blackards
Posted by: Andy Blackard Date: August 14, 2000 at 12:13:54

The information that I've collected indicates that I'm a descendant of Willoughy Blackard (b. 1758) in Person Co or Orange Co, NC who was a son of a William Willoughby Blackard (b. 1720 or 1730). Willoughy relocated to Virginia after the revolutionary war.

From internet references, I see that there seems to be another Willoughby Blackard (b.1759) and a son (?) William Blackard (b. 1777) in Wythe Co Virginia. This would indicate that there were Blackards in Virginia prior to revolutionary war. Are there any descendants of the Wythe Co Blackards around? Are these the descendants of a brother of William Willoughby (b.1720|1730)??
