Hi. I am dying to know what information you have about these early ancestors. Is this a different reference than the Mormon IGI database of William (b.1720) Orange County, NC?? I have ordered their CD-ROM, but otherwise cannot find any proof of this William. Or do you mean that Mrs Tonroy was the source of this information?

The earliest hard evidence that I can find for a Blackard is Charles Blackard who is listed in the 1766 Bute Co,NC Tax Listing.
