Somehow, I have misplaced the message board that I read this info on. But on the msg board, this info.
Subject: Job Blackard

Posted by: Sarita Blackard
Message: I have this on Job Blackard, bn 16 Dec 1766 in Lawrence, Madison County, TN; married Mary Jean Hargis bn 11 Nov 1769; he died 1799. Job's parents were: William Willoughby Blackard, bn 1730 in Scotland; don't have info on mother.
I do think that there were (1) a couple of groups of Blackards, at least, different Blackards and (2) that the documentation proving connection to the Willoughbe Blackard of Rev. War is going to be tough to come by.
These folks are probably not my line, so I didn't really pay a lot of attention when I read it, or where. But I will try to find it again.
The message board, copied here is on
