Wilyoube Blackard is my 3rd grandparent. I understand he came from Scotland, married in Wales and sailed from England. Blackard is a Welch name. I recently published a book titled "Early Virginia Settlers, Blackard, DeHart, Hubbard, Hurst, Lawson, Shelor, Southern, Thompson, Turner." If you are kin to the Blackards, then you are kin to most of the people in this book. My grandmother was Susannah Blackard Edwards Shelor, daughter of Susan Malinda DeHart Blackard and William Blackard.
